Easter Blessings Drive

Each Easter and Christmas we at On Track Daily find a charitable cause to work toward and try to do our best to help that cause.

This year, we have decided to help St. Malachi's Church/Center in Cleveland.

St. Malachi Center

Located at West 25th and Detroit, in Cleveland, OH, St. Malachi's helps to feed the poor and give help to the homeless.  This year we are organizing what we are calling "Easter Blessings Drive."

Basically we are going to fill Zip-lock freezer bags full of the 6 most essential toiletries that the homeless can use in their day-to-day life.  We are providing the products in Zip-lock bags because they are waterproof and most of these men don't have a safe, dry place to store their belongings.  With your help, our goal is to help 50 men this Easter by providing each one with the following:

Supplies needed for the Easter Blessings Drive include:

·         1-2 disposable razors

·         1-2 tubes of travel size toothpaste

·         1 individually wrapped tooth brush

·         1-2 sticks of travel size deodorant

·         1-2 tubes of travel size hand lotion

·         1-2 pairs of clean cotton socks.

*Travel size is recommended by St. Malachi's as these items are often carried daily by their clients, and sometimes stolen.  Keeping the sizes smaller makes it easier to transport and less of a target of theft.

Many of these items are self explanatory, but I want to elaborate on the socks.  The team at St. Malachi's has told us that socks are by far the most important gift we can give their clients.  Some of these men can go days or weeks without changing their socks.

And when it rains, most of these men walk around in wet socks, for DAYS.

These are gifts that we can give that can literally make an immediate impact on someone's life, and that is what On Track Daily is all about.

Please email us at ontrackdaily@gmail.com if you would like to contribute.  If you can't donate any of these items, then please remember the less fortunate in your prayers during this Easter season.
